God is on the move! Our S3 clubs are wrapping up their first year and we are praising God for the great things He has done. In one year we have:
- 15 members on our S3 committee
- 13 student leaders at the high school
- 14 sports teams holding S3 huddles
- one weekly campus club and one bi weekly campus club at the high school
- jut hosted our end of year event where students from both the middle and high school came together!
So I say, God is on the move!
When the student athletes of our local high school asked for a faith based club, we knew one set time would never work. This brought about the idea for individual team clubs, which we call huddles. Teams have chosen to have these on a practice or or even on a game day! With these flexible times we’ve been able to reach far more students. At the same time, we still held a campus S3 club once weekly at the high school.
My biggest blessing has come from working directly with the 13 student leaders. I am overjoyed to be part of watching students’ faith grow–in the public school! S3 is a time where they can come together to grow in their love for God and one another, united in shared beliefs and a passion for living out their faith. The huddles and club time bring a sense of community, prayer, worship, and heartfelt discussions that inspires to deepen their spiritual journey whether at school or sports practice. Every moment spent serving, learning, and uplifting each other feels like a sacred opportunity to reflect Christ’s love and purpose where it’s needed most. We are not taking this opportunity to have Christ in our middle and high school for granted!
S3 is a true blessing, a place where we’ve built a spiritual family in unexpected places—the field, court, diamond, practice, school!
